Eva is survived by her sisters, Sadie Hynes, Diana Burr and Elizabeth Carol Ovalle; her brother, John M. Smith; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a lifetime of good friends who will all miss her dearly.
Eva retired from the National Finance Center where she worked as an accounting clerk for many years. She was an avid Saints fan who thoroughly enjoyed volunteering and helping people. She was also a devout parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Denham Springs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until Mass. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
