Evelyn Rae DeLage

Our family regrettably announces the unexpected passing of our sweet Evelyn Rae. Evelyn Rae DeLage, age 3, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Born to the loving parents, Raymonde Lee Richardson and Allison Marie DeLage, and big sister to Vivian Lee DeLage (age 2).

While Evelyn only lived to the age of 3, she had a big impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. Our family was not expecting the loss of Evelyn, for her life was cut so short, so soon. We are devastated by this loss and will feel the absence of Evelyn for the rest of our lives. Described by those who knew her best, Evelyn was the sweetest most caring little girl with a heart and personality that was unmatched. Evelyn’s favorite place to be was snuggled in her mommy’s arms and wrapped around her daddy’s finger.

Our family would like to thank those that made such an impact on Evelyn’s life; to the teachers and staff of Parkway Presbyterian Preschool and Beary Cherry Tree Preschool. Thank you for loving and caring for Evelyn as your own. Evelyn adored her schools, her teachers, and her friends.

Evelyn will be forever remembered and loved by her parents, Raymonde Lee Richardson and Allison Marie DeLage; little sister, Vivian Lee DeLage; grandmother, (MiMi) Debra DeLage; aunt, (Nanny) Jennifer DeLage; cousin, (best friend) Joseph Touchet, and countless other family and friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles DeLage and grandmother, Sonya Richardson.

Relatives, friends, and all children, are invited to attend Evelyn Rae’s memorial service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM.
