

She was the Beloved wife of 66 years to Andrew P. LeBlanc, SR.; Cherished mother of Andrew P. “Drew” LeBlanc, Jr., Jeanne Rogers, Kim Hamilton (Mike), and Jennifer Laurent (Robert); Devoted Grandmother of Danielle Snyder (Matt), Kimberly Super (Zak), Brayden Laurent, Ethan Laurent, and Reid Laurent; Great Grandmother of Davis Snyder, Jackson Snyder, and Lily Super; Daughter of the late Felix Maniscalco and Pauline Schlotterer Maniscalco; Sister of Joseph Maniscalco (Priscilla), and the late Elaine Maniscalco Foley (Earle); Sister-in-law of Lucille Meyer (Warren).
She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Born April 26, 1938, Evelyn was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA for the past 59 years. She graduated in 1956 from St. Joseph Academy in New Orleans and received her nursing degree from Charity School of Nursing. She was the Assistant Director of Nursing for St. Anthony’s Nursing Home in Metairie, LA until her retirement in 2003.
Her joy in life was cooking great meals for her family and enjoying the time spent with them.
Her Southern hospitality was present throughout her personality as she always had a warm meal and an open door for anyone. Her compassionate nature radiated as a nurse for many years taking care of others. Whether you just met her or were a friend for life, you felt her kindness. Her motto was “always be kind and you’ll always be happy”.
The adoration for her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren was unwavering and she was affectionately known to them as Nana, and lovingly as Nanan to her niece Sharon Landry (David), and nephews Steve Foley (Karen), and Stuart Foley (Linda). She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Lakelawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 10:30 AM until 12:00 Noon. A funeral mass will be celebrated in the chapel beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, City Park Avenue, NewOrleans, LA.
