Francis Theodore Dutilh III

Francis T. (Trey) Dutilh,III of Metairie, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the age of 30. He was the beloved son of Francis T. (Ted) Dutilh, Jr. and Jan Trapani Dutilh, and also the brother of Andrea M. Dutilh. He was the grandson of Mary S. Dutilh and the late Francis T. Dutilh Sr., Marie A. Trapani and Frank J. Trapani. Nephew of Carl F. Trapani, Pamela B. Trapani, and the late Victor G. Trapani. He is also survived by a host of great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Trey graduated from Grace King High School in 2004. After high school, he worked in his father’s plumbing business, F.T. Dutilh & Son for 10 years. Trey was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to deer hunt, and he hunted deer in a number of states with his Dad. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his family’s hunting camp in Mississippi. He also enjoyed drawing and painting New Orleans themes on slates. Trey had a heart of gold. He was well loved and he will be sadly missed by many.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 1:00PM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation will be at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home located at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. from 10:00AM until service time.
