Frazie graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and Delgado Community College. He went on to honorably serve his country as a Sergeant for 4 years as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist in the United States Air Force. He also worked at the Hampton Inn as a doorman, at the Hilton in banquet, and at the Omni Royal Orleans as the Banquet Set Up Supervisor, for more than 30 years.
In 1993, Frazie saw Cassandra eating at Shoney’s restaurant and knew he had to make a move. Always well dressed and a gentleman, Frazie introduced himself to her and the rest was history. They fell in love and accepted each other’s children as their own. Their union was solidified in 1995 when they married.
As a God-fearing man, Frazie fully surrendered his life to the Lord. He became a member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church where he also became a deacon. Although displaced after Hurricane Katrina, Frazie continued his walk with Jesus as they moved from state-to-state with his daughter, Natalie, who was in the military. He faithfully served the Lord as a member of First Nazareth Baptist Church in Columbia, SC, a deacon at Westridge Park First Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX, and studied with the Jehovah’s Witness in Montgomery, AL.
Throughout Frazie’s life, he showed love and adoration to his family. No matter the distance, he would be there for graduations, weddings, births, etc. That is just how big his heart was.
