

Glenn W. Trascher, of Waggaman, Louisiana, was called home to be with his beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, October 27,2025 at the age of 68. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 7, 1956.
Glenn graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School and also obtained an associate degree as a Paralegal. He worked for many years at First Light, where he worked in their warehouse and as a driver. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center in Marrero and was also a deacon with Elysian Fields Assembly of God in 1991.
He loved spending time in the Word of God and teaching when given opportunity. He accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord when he was a teenager and lived for Him until the day of his death. He received great satisfaction in learning about The Lord in the Word and listening to great Bible teachers and prophets. Glenn was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He also enjoyed cruising with his family and friends.
Glenn is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Deborah Mae Trascher; his son Jeremy James Trascher (Theresa), his daughter Jessica Ann Laux(Jeffery) and his son Joshua Caleb Trascher; his grandchildren Trinity and Andrew Trascher, Klarissa and Joshua Strickengloss, Keeley Baker and Autumn and Landry Laux; his great grandchildren Mariah and Allie Encardes and Chance Grant ; his brother Gerald Trascher (Kay); his niece Angela Lejeune (Roger); his nephew Brian Trascher (Alicia); his grand-niece Vivian Trascher; and his grand-nephews, Joey (Alison) and Matthew Impastato. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Conrad Trascher and Anna Anticich Trascher.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff of West Jefferson Medical Center, who tirelessly attended to the care of Glenn. We appreciate the excellent care that was given to him and to us.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM for the family and 12:00PM for friends.
The interment will follow the chapel service in Metairie Cemetery.
