Gloria Papa Foto died in her home peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in New Orleans, LA. She was 86 years old. Mrs. Foto was born on July 3, 1928 in New Orleans, LA, to Salvatore and Ella Papa. She is survived by her daughter Susan Foto, and son Michael H. Foto III; twin sister and best friend Marie Papa Cusimano as well as beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael H. Foto, Jr. She was never happier than when she was spending time with family. A favorite pastime was playing cards with her Wednesday card group for over 50 years. Mrs. Foto and her husband owned and operated Ferro’s Food Store for 19 years.
Funeral Services will be held at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and Mass will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Susan G. Komen New Orleans Affiliate or Second Harvest Food Bank.
