She loved her bonco friends and her trips to the casino before her eyesight deteriorated terribly. She also loved taking care of her plants and flowers. More than anything, she loved her family and family gatherings. She suffered so much loss during her life but did so with dignity and grace. She faced her challenges straight on with confidence and courage. Anyone that knew her knew she was a force to be reckoned with.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Eschette, Sr.; parents, Fernand and Yvonne Colon; sons, Raymond Eschette, Jr., Brian J. Eschette, and Keith M. Eschette; grandchild, Revee Eschette; and great-grandson, Roman Montenegro.
She is survived by her daughter, Lauren F. Fairbanks (Donnie); daughter-in-law, June Eschette; grandchildren, Amanda Montenegro (Gerald), Nicholas Eschette (Taylor), Brian Fairbanks (Blakelyn), Brandon Fairbanks (Lexi), and Brett Eschette (Angelina); and great-grandchildren, Valor Montenegro and Dakota Eschette.
The family would like to give special thanks to Heart of Hospice, the kindest people the family has ever met. They are truly of God’s call for us to love and serve each other with compassion and humility.
The services will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at St. Ann Church and Shrine, 3601 Transcontinental Dr. Metairie, LA 70006. The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 12:00 p.m. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
