Please celebrate the life of my passionate mother, Gwendolyn Loupe Fairchild. She had a zest for life like no other. She has left us with more lovely and lively memories than we can recall. As they flow into our hearts and our thoughts we will smile and laugh and cry.
She touched so many people and enjoyed keeping in touch and hearing of their lives and families.
I would not trade one moment of the life she gave me, her only daughter, Cherilyn Fairchild Taromina. I am truly thankful for the spicy, vibrant, never-a-dull-moment, life we shared. She emitted a fun spirit and understanding support to everyone who cherished her.
Matt Leonard, her beloved and caring companion, was always by her side through thick and thin. They shared life for almost 30 years.
She loved her best friend and partner-in-crime, Ann Minor, as they were friends for almost 40 years.
She loved her son-in-law, Rick Taromina, and shared many a dinner and conversation with him as well as her adopted daughter, Lori Brazil, and Barry.
She will miss her granddaughter, Vanessa Taromina Scivally and Chris and her great grandson Rex, whom she adored.
There are so many friends, family members and extended family members that she cherished.
She was a proud graduate of St. Dominic’s and Mount Carmel Academy and enjoyed her gutter buddies.
She has joined her parents, Bernice Hickman Loupe and Willis Joseph Loupe, in heaven along with her grand dog, Dixie, who appreciated all of her dog sitting. Her dearly departed friends and family will welcome her with open arms, dinner and a cocktail, Marianne and Renee among others.
Raise a glass to Gwen and toast all of the good times and interesting conversations shared. We are grateful for the time and God bless her heavenly journey. We will miss you immensely.
Join us to celebrate her life with an intimate visitation from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Saturday, October 29th followed by a memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.
Much Love and Kali Nita,
Your Peanut
