Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Helen was a Professional Floral Designer and Master Gardener, worked with Goodwill Industries to place disabled employees, served Mississippi Hospice as a Liaison, and adored crafting, painting, crocheting, and gardening.
Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Lucien J. Scaffidi, Sr.; parents Emma Josephine Monson Cuccia and Joseph 'Jake' Cuccia; and grandchild Jeffrey Broussard. She is survived by children Lucien J. Scaffidi, Jr. (Mary), Helen Spence (Alan), and Sherry McLain (Jessie); and grandchildren Brian Scaffidi, Paige McLain, Aiden McLain, Corey Broussard, and Collin Scaffidi.
A message from Helen: “I want to swim with the ‘fishies’ where I will finally be free.”
The family would like to thank Leakesville Nursing and Rehab Center, Merit Wesley Health, and Gentiva Hospice for their great care, attention, and compassion given to our Mother.
