

Isabell “Izzy” Rita Calascione Kiehm was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 31, 1925, where she grew up and died at the age of 94. She attended St. Louis Cathedral School where she was loved by the sisters for her helpfulness, trustworthiness, and beautiful penmanship. She attended McDonough High School for the remainder of her formal education.
She met her beloved Norman on Canal Street in 1946 where they were both employed. They married on July 7, 1947, and spent the majority of their 59 years of marriage in Meridian, Mississippi. Isabell also resided in Madison, MS, Laurinburg, NC, and Greenville, MS, before returning to New Orleans in 2006. She was a lifelong communicant of the Catholic Church and was involved in church and women’s organizations. She loved socializing, traveling, painting, and was an avid collector of art objects. She loved all animals and had many pets throughout her long life.
Isabell was preceded in death by her father, Salvadore Caliscione, mother, Angela Abdin Scolamiero, step-father, Nikolas Scolamiero, her three half-siblings, Mary Calascione Mulle, Francis Joseph Calascione, Peter Calascione, and her devoted husband, Norman Leo Kiehm.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Kiehm Hendrix and Pamela Kiehm Yaeger (Paul). Her grandchildren include Christina Isabell Hendrix, Joseph Patrick Kiehm Hendrix (Erin), Carmen
Kiehm Buell (Eric), and Eric Christopher Alvin Yaeger (Maria).
Great-Grandchildren are Rachel M. Hendrix-Maloy, Brady Michael Buell, Wyatt Norman Andrew Buell, Griffin Murphy Thomas Buell, Kiehm Jasmine Hendrix, Callahan Rose Hendrix, Dylan Wayne Joseph Buell, Gianna Trinity Yaeger, and Bella Jade Yaeger.
