Jacob "Jay" John Faulstich Jr.

He is survived by his beloved children, Elijah John Faulstich, Jaidan Victor Faulstich, Jace Matthew Faulstich, and Emersyn Elizabeth Faulstich, who were the light of his life.

He is survived by his mother, Dawn Angela Baham; his siblings, Ryan Faulstich, Trent Miller, Emma Hawkins, and Peyton McCann; his half-siblings, Gage Faulstich and Tristan Faulstich; his nephew, Kayden Faulstich; his aunts, Julie Baham Gallois and Melody Baham Waltz; his uncles, Joseph Baham, Jr., Stephen Baham, and Jeffrey Faulstich; his grandparents, Joseph and Wendy Baham; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.

Jacob was preceded in death by his father, Jacob John Faulstich, Sr. and his great-grandparents, Floyd and Linda Searcy.

Jacob lived for his children. He was a proud and devoted father, always finding joy in attending their football games, dance recitals, or simply spending time together — playing hide and seek, riding dirt bikes, or competing in video games. No matter the circumstances, Jacob’s love for his children was unwavering, and they always knew they were at the very center of his world.

Jacob had a big heart and a vibrant spirit. His sense of humor was contagious, his loyalty to family and friends unshakable. Whether he was cheering for the Saints and Pelicans, talking about his Camaro, or sharing a good laugh, Jacob’s energy and love for life were easy to see.

Though life at times presented challenges and hard choices, Jacob's love for his children never wavered. It remained the truest part of him. In honoring Jacob’s memory, may we all be reminded to love our children fiercely and put them first in all of life’s decisions — especially when the road is hard.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jacob’s life on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m., with a service to follow at 7 p.m.
