

Jacqueline “Jackie "Marie Graves Ross passed away Thursday March 3, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born in New Orleans, raised in Bay St. Louis, MS and spent most of her life in Jefferson Parish, LA. She had moved to Baton Rouge after Hurricane Gustav. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend Charles A. Ross and sister Karen Spencer Tooley. She is survived by her sons Charles Albritton Ross, daughter-in-law, Annette and Robert Scott Ross, daughter-in-law, the late Cynthia and four grandchildren, Chip, Jill, Emily and Colin Ross. Special family friends Tamara Vickers and daughters Casey, Alexandra and Cayla. She and her husband were Charter Members of All Saints Episcopal Church and also active in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church for years. She spent many hours as a Sunday School teacher and volunteer on numerous projects. She was a great homemaker and caregiver of the family. She attended business school and handled the family finances well into her eighties. She was an avid reader with over 1,000 books to her credit. Her favorite hobbies included ceramics, knitting and cooking for family and friends, with shrimp stew and roast beef with rice and green beans as her specialties. She was also devoted foster mother to Loco the Cat, who she rescued from the middle of Jefferson Highway and had for almost 20 years. Services to be held on Wednesday, March 16th at All Saints Episcopal Church, 100 Rex Drive, River Ridge, La. 70123. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at 11:00 AM. Eucharist will be held at noon with interment in the All Saints Columbarium. Reception following in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the All Saints Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
