Janice Lambert Pace (March 13, 1948 - September 14, 2024), beloved wife, loving mother, devoted Gigi, and generous friend to all, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024, after an extended battle with cancer. She fully enjoyed each moment of her 76 years and deeply cherished every moment she was given with her loved ones. Janice was known for her gentleness and her kind spirit, going above and beyond to help anyone in need, especially any member of her beloved family.
A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Janice was an avid Saints fan. She attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School and later, LSU, igniting her passion for yet another team- her Tigers. She served for 16 years as both an officer and assistant branch manager at Omni Bank, and for 10 years as the office manager for her husband and love of her life, Dr. Ken Pace. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Ken, for 25 years. The love they shared was unmatched and served as an inspiration to others. She absolutely loved sports, her puppy, Allie, a strong cup of coffee, a good deal, and laughing hysterically with her family.
Janice was preceded in death by her mother and father, Kathryn and Harold Lambert. She is survived by her children, Lindsay Ray Welch, Lauren (Trey) Ray Rickerson, Brian (Jaylyn) Pace, and Adam (Whitney) Pace; her grandchildren, Dylan and Claire Welch, Avery and Jackson Regan, Trevor Rickerson, Addison, Kennedy and Everett Pace, and Asher Pace; and her siblings, Frank (Andrea) Lambert, Harold (Kathy) Lambert, Kathryn “Kippy” (Joe) Diliberto, Paul Lambert, and Christi (Drew) Caneza; and a plethora of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 2:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:00PM. The interment will follow the chapel service at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
The family appreciates your prayers as they grieve this incredible loss.
