

Jean Holt Favaloro went into the loving arms of the Lord on August 20, 2014, at the age of 72, after having fought valiantly for 22 years against the complications of CREST syndrome. Her faith gave her amazing strength and courage enabling her always to maintain a positive outlook. Jean dedicated her life to her family, especially Guy, her beloved husband of 52 years, her three beloved sons and her seven precious grandchildren.
Jean involved herself in many organizations and volunteer activities, but several stand out as ones which she gave extended amounts of her time. Jean was past President of the New Orleans Dental Association Wives’ Club and past President of L.S.U. Medical Center Alliance. She also was very involved as a past member of Order Of The Eastern Star. Her faith in God was reinforced by her involvement as a member and past Elder of the John Calvin Presbyterian Church.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; Myra LeVie Holt and Herbert Warren Holt, and parents-in-law, Ellen Hart and Frank Angelo Favaloro. She is survived by her husband, Guy Andrew Favaloro; son, Guy Warren Favaloro; her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Myrick Favaloro; grandson, Guy Jeffrey Favaloro; granddaughter, Kathryn Marie Favaloro; son, David Byron Favaloro; her daughter-in-law, Laura Schuler Favaloro; granddaughters, Courtney Michel Favaloro and Allison Holt Favaloro; son, Gerald Dwayne Favaloro; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Daigle Favaloro; grandsons, Zachary Daigle-Nastasi and Gerald Ayden Favaloro; granddaughter, Carly Ann Favaloro; and numerous other relatives.
She touched many hearts and lives throughout her life. She was a beautiful woman with a great sense of humor who was always laughing and smiling. Her family was her life. They will miss her forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Jean’s life at JOHN CALVIN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 4201 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie, LA on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
