Jesus E. Iruegas

Jesus E. Iruegas passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Rodolfo and Mercedes Iruegas; and stepfather David Rangel. Jesus is survived by his children Guillermo “Willie” Iruegas, Elizabeth “Lisa” Vernaci (Louis), Claudia I. Lovett (Joseph), and Stacy Neuburger (Devin); grandchildren Selena Reynolds (Braydon) and Abigail Iruegas. He is survived by his sister Lydia Elena Iruegas; Former spouse and best friend Rosa Ginn (Ed). He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Jesus was born in Rodriguez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in April of 1939. He has been a longtime resident of Kenner, La for over 40 years. He was a Chef for Casa Garcia, as well as Pancho’s for the majority of his life. He graduated with a degree in accounting from “Bernardino Del Raso” in June of 1959. Jesus will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his beloved dogs Chicharo and Chiquilla. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, La. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and a reception will follow at Lake Lawn Metairie funeral Home.
