I was one of John Paul’s stepmoms.  I remember how much fun it was when he was visiting us on the horse farm.  He was always a delight to be around.  He said he still loved me even when I made him eat his broccoli and Brussel sprouts.  Whenever I sent text messages, cards, and emails I would sign off with “Love, Your Wicked Stepmom.”  He always laughed at that and said I was anything but wicked.  It’s hard to believe he’s gone.  The two of us practically grew up together.  My condolences to Jenny, Richard, Sarah, and their families.  Thank you, Jenny, for letting me know.

I met John when I was 10 years old. He was 12. 
He stalked me by riding his bike back-and-forth in front of my house until he could meet me since he had a crush on me from watching me walk to school past his house every day. We only lived five driveways down on the same street. He was my first boyfriend, who became my lifelong best friend. I have way too many crazy John Luck stories to even begin to tell any of them. I took this picture of him one month ago on Thanksgiving night. I think it sums up his personality in one snapshot. Rest in peace, best friend of 40 years. 

My deepest condolences to John’s family.. l had the privilege of knowing John 26 years. I cut his hair a we had some fun times and lots of laughs! You will always be in my heart,mind and prayers. Rest In Peace my friend and I’ll see you later in Heaven!

Many unforgettable fun memories with my great friend John Luck....He drove me to Brother Martin every morning for years in that Toyota pickup he loved so much with its’ stereo that had the same cassette tape stuck in it...re-playing 100s of times over our entire Jr & Sr year commutes to/from school.  “I’m on a Mexican Radio” by The Vapors...mutually etched into our minds forever. He and I laughed about that memory together recently. I’ll forever remember John as one of my closest, oldest friends...always smiling, generous, genuine and uplifting.  Love you John Luck. Rest In Peace

I have so many fond memories of John "Lucky" Luck over the years.  Here he is holding my first child, Leslie, when she was about 5 months old as we sipped a cocktail on the porch at The Columns Hotel.  He was enamored with her.  Lucky and I were old friends from law school days, we played a lot of pool together at Oscars, talked for hours.  The last time we were together was when the Saints won the Superbowl - we watched the game together at Molly's at the Market.  He always had a smile on his face, I can still hear his laugh and probably always will.  We love you Lucky and will miss you.
