Joseph J. Palmisano also affectionately known as Papa Joe passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Angela Cusanza Palmisano of 52 years. Son of Anna Salvaggio Palmisano Cuccia and the late Gasper “Buddy” Palmisano. Devoted father of Dawn Palmisano Steckler (Bob “Steck”) and Sheri Palmisano Klemm (Rob). Brother of Louis Palmisano (Diane). Brothers-in-law Sal Cusanza (Darlene) and Martin Joseph Cusanza (Sharon). Loving grandfather of Nicholas Joseph Steckler (Hillary), Melissa Elise Steckler, Baron Alexander Steckler, Alexis Steckler, Peyton Elizabeth Klemm, Jordan Rebecca Klemm and Mason Patrick Klemm. Adoring great-grandfather of Daniel Pulsipher Steckler and Henry Joseph Steckler. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 12pm.
