Josie M. Lyles

Mrs. Josie M. Lyles passed away Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at her home in Mandeville, La. Josie Lyles had been a 40 year resident of Jesuit Bend, Louisiana in Plaquemines Parish. She was born in Lake Charles Louisiana on March 4th, 1929 and was married to the late A.C., Lyles Jr. until his death in 2002. Her parents were the late Peter and Lucy Montalbano of Lake Charles. Ms. Lyles was a long time member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary L. Richard and Lisa Kirwin. She is preceded in death by her two sons, John Grant Lyles and Mark T. Lyles. Ms. Lyles is survived by six grandchildren, Reagan Russell, Jesse Lyles, Hannah Lyles, Ryan Adair, Kelly Kileen and Lyles Kirwin. She was also the proud great grandmother of John Carter Russell, Jacob Cole Russell, Jordan Russell, Dominick Lyles, Tristen Kileen and Tara Kileen. "Mi Mi" as she was known to most family, close friends and grandchildren, will be sorely missed. She was a kind and loving person who enjoyed people and always had a quick smile and kind gesture to both friend and stranger. Funeral Services will be held at Lake Lawn Funeral Home 1500 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, August 5th, 2015. and from 10am-11am on Thursday August 6, 2015 with a funeral mass to follow at 11am. A Graveside service will follow at the Lyles Cemetery in Oberlin, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make a donation to the Lyles Cemetery Association trust fund. P.O.
