Joy Susanne Vedros

Joy Susanne Vedros passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the age of 76. She was born in Manhattan, New York on June 25, 1945 to the late Murray Spindler and Shirley Levy Spindler. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, going out to dinner, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her uncle, Warren Leeds, aunt, Marion O’Toole, and grandmother, Ann Abrahams.

Joy is survived by: her daughters, Lauren Vedros Myers (Paul Myers), Jill Vedros Mutavdzic, and Kimberley Vedros Landry (G. Michael Landry); her grandchildren, Taylor Mutavdzic, Madison Landry, Grayson Myers, Kallen Mutavdzic, Alexandra Mutavdzic, Christian Myers, and Jack Landry.

All who knew her can attest to her fiery, outspoken personality. The residents of The Trace said “Wherever Joy was, there was always laughter”. She will be missed by all who knew her, forever in our hearts and minds.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124 with a Celebration of Life Eulogy Service beginning at 11:30 a.m., during visitation. A Private Interment for immediate family only will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
