Joyce Culotta Boudreaux

Joyce Culotta Boudreaux was born on January 14, 1940, and entered into eternal life on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for most of her life.

She was the daughter of the late Sarah Migliore Culotta and Peter Arthur Culotta. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Lester A. Boudreaux, Jr.

Joyce is survived by her son, Kevin G. Boudreaux, Sr. (wife Jan) and daughter, Rebecca Boudreaux Short (husband Abby), her grandchildren, Courtney Boudreaux Poupart (husband Shane), Kevin G. Boudreaux, Jr. (wife Megan), Benjamin Boudreaux, Alyson Boudreaux, Madeline Short, Caroline Short and great-grandchild, Jackson Poupart. She is also survived by her sisters, Anna C. Maunoir (late husband Peter) and Pat C. Yaeger (late husband Joseph), her brother-in-law, Theodore Boudreaux, her special friend, Marilyn Maddox, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joyce grew up in the Irish Channel very close to her school, Redemptorist High School where she graduated in 1957. She was also a devoted Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church since 1979.

The family would like to thank Hospice Specialists of Louisiana for their special care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 12 PM with a Mass to begin at 12 PM. Internment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, Joyce would like to have masses said in her name or donations made to St. Jude in her memory.
