She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Hagstette Stritzinger (Frank); her son, Kurt Hagstette (Kelli); grandchildren, Kelsey Stritzinger Gagne (Andrew) and Jared Tyler Stritzinger (Laurel); great-grandchildren, Grace Gagne, Graham Gagne and Aiden Stritzinger; sister, Helen Moss and brother, Bruce Wenzel.
Judith was patriotic and steadfast in her faith. Enjoyed playing the piano, singing, listening to music, gardening and most of all being a mother. She had an insatiable desire for knowledge and a great appreciation for classical music, nature, and art. She was also an avid Saints and LSU fan and always had a special place in her heart for cats.
Throughout Judith’s life, she was called to serve her Lord in many ways, including substitute organist and pianist for several Lutheran churches in New Orleans, an elementary school teacher for several Greater New Orleans Lutheran Schools, and as Choir Director for Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Metairie, LA.
Judith graduated from Newcomb College of Tulane University (1953) with a B.A. degree, Music Division and later earned her teaching certification. She had numerous occupations during her working years until her retirement (1998) as an administrative assistant from the Office of Student Affairs at Tulane School of Medicine.
While residing at Forest Manor, Judith was loved by many of the staff and she considered these staff members as extended family. Pamela and Kurt wish to thank Forest Manor and especially the staff of Hall 100 for their care and fondness for their mother.
Services will be held privately.
