Judy McCay Gardebled

Judy McCay Gardebled died on Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was 80 years of age. She was the loving wife of 57 years to the late Robert Anthony Gardebled, Sr. Beloved mother of Robert A. Gardebled, Jr. (Liz), Charlene G. Pitre (Mark), Darlene G. Gondrella (Randy), Kevin M. Gardebled (Laura), and the late Marlene G. Archer. Adoring grandmother of Megan Archer, Thomas Archer, Randall Gondrella, Jr., Christopher Gardebled, Amber Pitre, Heather Pitre, Eric Gardebled, Owen Gardebled, Colleen Gardebled and Jake Gardebled. She was preceded in death by her parents William O. McCay and Julia Lae McCay.

Judy was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie. She had enjoyed camping at Lake Ramsey, doing ceramics, and even taught ceramic classes at her residence for many years. She also enjoyed sitting on her front lawn with Bob watching the ball games at Lakeshore Playground. More recently she enjoyed spending time with her friends relaxing in a rocking chair. Above all, she loved to spend time with her beloved grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:30PM. The interment will follow the Mass at All Saints Mausoleum.
