Mr. Justo Carrillo de Albornoz Sr

Justo Carrillo de ALBORNOZ, 81, of Metairie, LA, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, 28 June 2014. He was born 5 July 1932 in Havana, Cuba, to Justo and Dolores Carrillo de Albornoz. An only child, he helped to manage and operate the family furniture business, La Siboney, from a young age. He was graduated from Riverside Military Academy in Georgia and then studied commercial sciences at the University of Havana. He was then employed by Crusellas (Colgate Palmolive). In 1967, he emigrated to New Orleans with his wife and sons. A gifted salesman, he worked at Universal Furniture until his retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Josefina Corral Flor, three sons and five grandchildren; Justo G. (Maria Elena) of Louisville, KY, Oscar (Loruhama) of Dacula, GA, and Joseph M. (Maria Alejandra) of Kenner, LA., and grandchildren: Christina, Marlena, Caleb, Eli”, and Joseph Alexander. Quick witted and generous, Justo was also blessed to have many devoted lifelong friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park & Mausoleum. Visitation on Thursday from 10:00 am until service time.
