Karen Jude Trammel Albert

Karen Jude Trammel Albert passed away at her home on Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was 53 years old. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, David W. Albert; daughter, Ali Albert; son, Corey Albert; siblings, Jules, Patricia, Linda, David, Frank, and John Trammel; uncle, Wilmer “Bud” Tabor; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Trammel; and siblings, Mary and Mark Trammel.

Karen enjoyed the good things in life such as nature, laughter, being around people, and pets, especially her dog, Leo.

The family would like to thank Dr. John T. Cole, and the entire staff at Ochsner Hospital for their compassionate care.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a gathering at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. At 7:00PM a rosary will be said by the Marianites of Holy Cross. On Saturday, November 15, a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3310 Jefferson Hwy. in Jefferson, at 11:00AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen, 4141 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA. 70002.
