Karen is survived by her husband of 21 years, Charles Chaput; mother Thelma Tate Lopez; brothers George Lopez, Jr. and Michael Lopez (Kelly Collins); nephew Nathan Lopez, niece Taylor Holt, and nephew Patrick Waguespack (Aimee); grandniece Hayley Waguespack and grandnephew Mason Waguespack as well as numerous cousins and her beloved cats Snuggles and Shadow.
She is preceded in death by her father George Rosendo Lopez; brothers Thomas Lopez and John Lopez; and niece Meghan Lopez.
Karen was a stylist assistant for 14 years at Inspirations Beauty Salon in Metairie.
Karen will always be remembered for her smile, laugh and the love for her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 beginning at 9:00am until 11:00am. Interment will be private.
