

Kenny was born in Metairie, Louisiana, on August 27, 1953, son of Kenneth Bohnenstiehl Sr. and the late Doris Miller Bohnenstiehl. He was the beloved husband of the late Verna Joslin Bohnenstiehl and by a previous marriage to Janice Cooley. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Bohnenstiehl Sr., his three children Kristi Cook (Brett), Robert Bohnenstiehl, Kelle Bohnenstiehl, two step-children Joshua Perrin and Matthew Perrin (Stacey), his siblings Gerald Bohnenstiehl, Marilyn Sambola (Steve), Thomas Bohnenstiehl (Lessie), and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren Brett Jacob Cook, Joshua Perrin Jr., Jillian Cook, Kailey Perrin, Emily Bohnenstiehl, Tristan Wyler, Riley Perrin, Evelyn Nirenberg, Emerson Nirenberg, Lucy Perrin, and Ellis Nirenberg
Kenny graduated from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans in 1971 and enjoyed a career as a licensed electrician with their family business, Bohnenstiehl Electric Inc. He had a passion for music, loved camping and fishing, was a Who Dat through and through and, knew “they” were out there.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a celebration of Kenny’s life on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, located at 6425 West Metairie in Metairie, LA. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, and Mass begins at noon. Interment will be private, with services entrusted to the caring staff of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Due to pandemic restrictions and safety, guests must wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
