Lena Difulco Stabile

Lena Difulco Stabile died on February 5, 2017 at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank P. Stabile, her parents, Virginia DiGiovanni Difulco and Lucas Difulco, her siblings; Lukeina Smith (late Daniel), Paul Difulco (Helen), Jerome “Gee” Difulco (late Esther), Carlo “Kelly” Difulco (late Audrey) and Michael “Mickey” Difulco. She is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law John Stabile. Lena is survived by her children Linda Stabile Mauer (former son-in-law Wayne) and Frank J. Stabile (Shirley), her grandchildren; Michael (Jourdan), Matthew, Theresa (James), Frankie, Shelly, Philip and Dylan, her great grandchildren Hannah, Holly, Kaden, Brooke, Kaleb, Marlena, Arthur, Nolan and Brayden. She is also survived by her brother John Difulco (late Claire), brother-in-law Stephen Stabile, her extended family Vicki and Hazel and a host of nieces, nephews and family members. Lena had a passion for life that sparkled everyday through her selflessness and compassion that she had for all those around her. She was loving, caring and always there to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11AM.
