Lester Antoine Boutte joined his heavenly family on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Elie Boutte and Marie Alice Verret Boutte. He proudly served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Denver in the Pacific during WWII. Beloved husband of 67 years to Rita Mae Oubre Boutte. Father to Cynthia Nemeth, Cathy Roche Menard, and Charles Boutte. Grandfather to Benjie Nemeth, Yvette Nemeth Jones, Nicole Roche Nichols, and Monique Roche White, and great grandfather of seven. Lester’s siblings have all passed on, Lee, Leo, Alma, Beulah, and Shirley, but their legacy continues with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a gathering at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org).
