My mom was one of the toughest people I knew. She almost died given birth to me. She’s been through several hurricanes and had many surgeries not to mention many other things she suffered in her life. I would always tell my friends and anyone I would talk to about her how tough she was. I have tried to get myself to realize that I should go to see her before it’s too late and I will beat myself up for not making that happen. I remember our last conversation it was very emotional because I was in a place where my thoughts were pure and I told her I loved and missed her very much. All my life I wished I’d lived closer to her so I could just stop in to say hi or just have her around when I needed someone to talk to, but we were as close as we could be under the circumstances and I know she loved me and I feel blessed for that. One thing I know is I never had to worry about her because she won the lottery when she married Bruce. He always took care of her and I love him for that. I wish I could’ve been more involved with their lives, but distance has buffered that. I have fond memories of going on vacations with mom and Bruce and I remember going skiing several different places as a family and will never forget those times. My mom gave me values and morals on how to be a gentleman. I remember going to church as a child and standing next to her singing, and I would remember listening to her voice, which at the time sounded like an angel. She would come to visit my sister, and I often in the Pacific Northwest, which gave me time to spend with her which I loved and cherish. I also remember when growing up having red beans and rice every Monday she made the best red beans and rice in my opinion. I always remembered the way she said I love you, my baby with her southern accent. I have so many good memories. I just wish I could have more. I know my mom had belief in God and I know he will look out for her, but it is hard to know I’m never going to see her or talk to her again

Linda and I were friends since 10 th grade highschool that is 60 years. We worked at Lerner's together our senior year. We had girls day every week for years. I miss her now and will continue to miss her in years to come ❤️ she was my best friend , I considered her family,my sister .She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her.

Losing a sister is one of the hardest in life, but I do want to tell everyone how great my sister was.  Our mom told me if I was the first born, I would have been the only child.  I am so very happy my sister came before me. Linda was the best sister for putting up with me when I was small.   Linda took me for hot fudge sundaes using her earnings from her job at Lerner's.  She also took me on her dates to check out her boyfriends.  Linda was there when my husband fell ill, she traveled to Houston to care for my 18-month-old son while Jim was in the hospital getting his heart mended.  There were no complaints just love and support.  We shared many trips or what Linda called adventures.  Our travels included Italy, Greece, Caribbean, and Mexico, just to name a few.  I will miss her selflessness and her love.  She will live on in me as well as her husband, her children, her family and friends.

A life well lived filled with love and happiness.  I  only wish there was something I could say to your close family to ease their grief and pain. You will be missed sweet cousin.
