AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Lorelei Barbara Cazaubon

6 février 1928 – 31 juillet 2025
Avis de décès de Lorelei Barbara Cazaubon
AUX SOINS DE

Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries

Lorelei Barbara Cazaubon passed away peacefully at home on July 31. Born February 6, 1928, she grew up as one of six children in the family home on Ellis Parkway in Metairie. Lorelei attended school at Sacred Heart on Canal Street and, after graduation, took a job at the lakefront Naval Air Station. There she met Sheldon Cazaubon, a young sailor returning home from service in the Pacific. Lorelei and Sheldon married in 1952, then settled on Cameron Blvd in Gentilly, where they began their family.

Lorelei was steadfast in her Catholic faith and practice but accepted those with other beliefs without hesitation. She truly exemplified Christian principles of grace, acceptance, and unconditional love - not just towards her family, but everyone she encountered.

The beloved wife of the late Sheldon H. Cazaubon, Lorelei is survived by daughters Lisa (Glen) Schwartzberg and Terri (Robert) Munch, sons Steve (Michele) Cazaubon and Barry Cazaubon, sister Shirley Guercio, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A private graveside ceremony will be held, followed by a celebration of life at a yet-to-be-determined date.
