Lynda LaBella Breaux

One of her greatest gifts was cooking. She had a remarkable way of turning simple ingredients into the most comforting meals, and nothing brought her more joy than sharing that food with the people she loved.

Lynda was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Barry Jean Breaux, and parents, Salvador LaBella, Sr. and LilyRose Chaisson LaBella.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Breaux Faia (Christopher); son, Barry Joseph Breaux; grandchildren, Brittany Schmidt Musso (Katie), Ryan Anthony Schmidt (Courtney), Victoria Faia Cummings (Austin), Celeste Elizabeth Faia, and Claire Faia Atkinson (Ben); great-grandchildren, Lainey Danae Schmidt, Meryl Jean Musso, Savannah Anne Cummings, Miles Ryan Schmidt, Levi Thomas Schmidt, and Gabina Jeanne Atkinson; and brother, Salvador LaBella, Jr.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Suma Satti for the years of excellent, compassionate care.

Relatives and friends are invited to the services on Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th St. Gretna, LA 70053. The visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. George Hanna, S.D.B. The interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124.
