Marie Chastant Hanning passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015, age 88. Beloved wife of the late Louis C. Hanning. Mother of Dana L. Hanning, Sr. (Cindy), Susan H. Regan (Raymond) and Peggy J. Hanning (Kevin Day). Sister of Ledoux Chastant, Jr., Judy Chastant and the late Amelia Margaret Chastant. Grandmother of Dana Hanning, Jr., Mickey Hanning, Randy Hanning, Raymond Regan and Stephanie Pineda. Also survived by six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marie was a former member of Dance-A-Round, School House Squares, Sil-O-Ettes and Rip N’ Snort. She was co owner of Rio Vista Hardware and expressed her artistic talent in her ceramic works. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation on Friday from 10:30 am until service time. In lieu of flowers donations preferred to the American Heart Association.
