

She is also preceded in death by her husband of 16 years Dr. John J. Colomb, Jr.; brothers Joseph Percy (Pat) Monroe, Jr. and Robert John Monroe.
Marjorie is survived by step-daughters Cindy Smith, Lynn Nicoll (Jim), Christine Woolf (King); step-sons Dr. John Colomb, III (Sharon), Kevin Colomb (Nancy) and Michael Colomb as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marjorie graduated from Louisiana State University with her Bachelors in Art History and University of New Orleans with her Bachelors in Business Administration. She was a member of many organizations, Orleans Club, Fine Arts Club, Alpha Omicron P. Sorority, Trustee Board Member of J. Edgar Monroe Foundation, advisory council and former docent of New Orleans Museum of Art and Queen of Proteus 1950. Marjorie was filled with joy and energy, which lifted all those around her. She treated everyone with dignity and respect.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. James Place, Caring Companions and her hospice nurse Susie. Special thanks to Brendia Brown for her dedicated and loving care of Marjorie.
Interment will be private.
