Mark Alan Capretto died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the age of 54. Mark was the son of the late John J. Capretto and Eleanore B. Capretto, and brother of the late Robert and David Capretto. He is survived by his brother, John M. Capretto (Rose); his sisters, Carol Billon (Jimmy), Linda DePascual (Manuel), and Gina Hartdegen (Jason); and his sister-in-law, Lynne Capretto. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Mark has worked in many restaurant kitchens in Metairie, including, most recently, Theo’s Pizza and Southerns. He enjoyed fishing, collecting shot glasses, and recycling scrap metal. He rode his bike all around Metairie, including to his favorite watering hole, Pat’s Pub.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass in Metairie Cemetery.
