Born on October 5, 1929, in Plaucheville, Louisiana, Marlene lived predominantly in New Orleans, Metairie, and most recently Ponchatoula, and retired as a Real Estate Agent.
Marlene was preceded in death by the love of her life, Richard W. Strode, to whom she was married for 55 years. She is survived by their three children, Christine, Richard, and Gary; eight grandchildren, Stacy, Kevin, Keith, Jaime, Jarrett, Nicole, Dustin and Brandon; and ten great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Matthew, David, Gabby, Wyatt, Colton, Reese, Caiden, Logan, Isabelle, Bennett, Trey, Emma and Sofia. She will be sadly missed.

A visitation for Marlene will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, and interment directly thereafter at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
