Michele Prieur Villavaso

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michele Marie Prieur Villavaso. A beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us on December 29th, 2025, at the age of 62. A devout Catholic and resident of Metairie, LA, Michele was a graduate of Arch. Chapelle High School and received a BSN from LSU School of Nursing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Doris A. Dittmann Prieur, and her infant brother, David C. Prieur. Survived by her husband, Mark J. Villavaso, along with her 6 siblings, Beth P. Galland (Gene), John F. Prieur , Jr. , (Cheryl), Christopher M. Prieur , Sr.(Gaye), James E. Prieur, Sr. (Laura), Lisa P. Lemaire (Jeff), and Mary Kay P. Robicheaux. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, as well as her great-nieces and nephews, who filled her life with joy.

Michele was a wonderful, giving person who deeply loved her family, her precious dogs, and life itself. Her smile, laughter, and loving ways will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, January 9, 2026, beginning with a visitation at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 6425 W. Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA 70003, at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass to begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA at 1:30 p.m. in the All Saints Mausoleum.
