Nancy Lowe Prieur passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the age of 68. She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on July 19, 1950. Nancy was the life long companion and cherished wife of Ken Prieur, they were married 48 years. She was the devoted mother of three children, Brett R. Prieur (Christine Gudaitis), Josh M. Prieur (Lauren), and Morgan E. Prieur (Blake Lacour). She is also survived by her siblings, Elaine Lowe Crosby, Carolyn Lowe Lambert (the late John), Carl R. Lowe, Jr. (Joyce), and Robert C. Lowe (Terry), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Randall Lowe, Sr. and her beloved mother and best friend, Antonia Morgan Lowe, who often said that Nancy is the daughter that every mother should have.
A graduate of Loyola Dental School, she was a practicing dental hygienist for over 48 years, and was part of the Charvet Dental Group.
Nancy was devoted to her family and friends and spent her entire life being a wonderful wife, and incredible mother, and a great relative and friend. There were no strangers in Nancy's life. Her favorite hobby and passion was Christmas. She spent over three months every year decorating, shopping, wrapping, and planning our gathering of family and friends. She made Christmas special, in some personal way, for every one of us.
Nancy leaves a void in the life of so many people who will miss her forever. When Nancy smiled at you, you knew you were loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
