Olga Oubre

Passed away peacefully at the age of 97, at her home with her sister Lorraine and other family members at her bed side. Born in Garyville, LA, February 28, 1917. Ms. Oubre, in 1982, after 40 years of service, retired from J.H. Rutter Rex Co. Ms. Oubre was a parishioner of St. Maurice Church in New Orleans for 50 years. For her service to the church, she was the recipient of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Order of St. Louis award. Ms. Oubre passed away as a parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church, in Metairie, LA. Ms. Oubre is survived by her sister, Lorraine O. Puzzio, and many nieces and nephews, as well as many Great, Great-Great, and Great-Great-Great nieces and nephews. Ms. Oubre was predeceased by her Mother, Idea Kliebert Oubre, her Father, Gerard Joseph Oubre, her brothers, Ralph Oubre, Irving Oubre, and Leo Oubre, and her sisters, Fabiola O'Connor, and Rowena Melancon. Ms. Oubre will be sadly missed by all of those whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, Ms. Oubre's wishes were for donations to be made to St. Angela Merici Church, Metairie, LA.
