Patricia Noonan Eaves passed away peacefully at home in New Orleans on May 6, 2026, at the age of 83. A New Orleans native, Patsy, as she was known to all, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She loved gardening and community. She became a champion of her neighborhood and community, working tirelessly to found Neighborhood Watch, the Broadmoor Improvement Association, and COPS 2, an organization which continues today to honor and support the New Orleans Police of the Second District. She truly loved her neighborhood and her native city.

Patsy was born to John Martin Noonan and Margaret Burke Noonan in New Orleans on September 24, 1942. She attended Holy Name of Jesus School in New Orleans, then for high school the Mary Wood Boarding School for Girls in Mundelein, IL and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University. She married the love of her life, Lewis P. Eaves, III, and cherished 50 years of marriage until his passing.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, John Martin Noonan and Margaret Burke Noonan, her husband, Lewis P. Eaves, III, and her siblings, John M. Noonan, Jr. and Rita “Missy” Noonan Lagarde.

She is survived by her son, Lewis P. Eaves, IV, her daughter, Shannon Eaves Hattox (Joshua), and her grandchildren, Ethan Hattox, Jameson Hattox, and Scarlett Hattox. She is also survived by her sisters, Margie Noonan Blaum, Mary B. Noonan, Kathleen Noonan Kirksey (Michael), and brother, Charles E. Noonan.

Patsy will be remembered for her warm heart, her cheerful fun-loving spirit, and her devotion to family and community.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 2729 Lowerline St. New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held from 10 AM - 11 AM with a funeral Mass to begin at 11 AM. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
