Patricia Ann Spano Lupo

Patricia Ann Spano Lupo, age 83, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. A devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Angela Merici, Pat was deeply committed to Christ and the Blessed Mother, always keeping her rosary close by. Known for her enduring humility and gentle nature, Pat was cherished by her many friends and all who met her.

She was a proud alumna of the Academy of Sacred Heart (1959). A resident of Metairie, Pat retired in 1997 from General Motors as a customer service specialist. In her retirement she found joy in solving puzzles, watching Hallmark movies, and most of all, spending cherished moments with her grandson, Mason.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Angelo Lupo; by her parents, Peter and Helen Spano; and father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mary Lupo.

She is survived by her loving children, Kevin Lupo (Ann) and Christina Farrell (Johnny); her grandchildren, Mason, Gregory, Matthew and Colin; her brother-in-law, Anthony Lupo (Sheryl); her nephew, Michael Lupo, and niece, Melissa Velasquez.

The Lupo family extends their heartfelt thanks to the care team at Audubon Care Homes Phosphor House for the comfort and compassion they provided to Pat during her final months.

Funeral services for Patricia will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place immediately after at All Saints Mausoleum.
