Patsy Rae Jones Romero passed away on Dec 18, 2021. She was 97. Born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 1924, she was the oldest of two girls born to Thurman Auten Jones and Bluie Miller Jones. Mom lived most of her life in New Orleans. She was an accomplished porcelain artist, was very active with her church, and helped Dad run the family business. She had an ardent love for her family, was a collector of dear friends, and always expected us to be our best. In a note we found among her things, Mom said it best, "I love china, crystal, flowers, perfume, jewelry, music, babies and lovely people." She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Paul Romero and her sister Mary Jo Jones Jilek. Patsy is survived by her daughter Suzie Romero McCluggage and Suzie's husband Ralph, her son Stan A. Romero and his wife June, and her son David A. Romero and his wife Cindy, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans on Wednesday, December 22 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation with family and friends will be from 12:00 to 1:00.
