Paul Po-Che Louie

Paul Po-Che Louie was born in Kwangtung (Guangdong) China on March 12, 1934. Paul immigrated to New Orleans, LA in 1959. He and his wife, Yvonne began their married life in New Orleans. His children, Tina Louie and Timothy Louie lived in Metairie and Houma LA as he grew his restaurant in the 1970s-mid 1990s. Paul retired in Metairie where he could pursue his interests and remained active by gardening and volunteering in the Chinese community, weekly poker games with friends, cheering on the Saints and visiting with his granddaughters. Paul died on March 16, 2024 days after his 90th birthday. He is preceded in death by his parents, Moy-Yu (mother) and Sui Chun (father) Louie, his older brother Willie Louie and his Aunt, Gloria Lee. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Yvonne Louie, his brother, Nathan Louie, his daughter and son, Tina Louie Huang and Timothy Louie; son-in-law, Elbert Huang and granddaughters, Penelope Huang and Maxine Huang. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA.
