Mr. Paul Verlaque Palermo died peacefully in Fort Worth, Texas on February 1, 2016, at the age of 77. Paul was born on October 9, 1938 in New Orleans to Vera and Charles Palermo, Sr. He graduated from Jesuit High School in 1956. He worked for over 40 years as an industrial hose specialist for C.V. Harold Rubber Company in New Orleans. He loved his association with the company until his retirement, which coincided with a pause in operations resulting from the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. At that time he moved to Texas to be near his relatives who were delighted to have him close. Always the doting uncle, he spoiled his only niece and nephew endlessly, not only with gifts, but with thoughtfulness and affection. His loving manner and generous spirit made him a beloved friend to those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Palermo, Sr. and mother Vera Verlaque, both of New Orleans, LA. He is survived by his brother, Charles Jr. and wife Marilyn, his nephew Paul Victor Palermo, wife Julie, and their children, Landon and Rayce; his niece Caron Woolsey, husband Jeffrey, and their children, Cate and Jude. A Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 am on February 15, 2016 at Lake Lawn Metairie, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by Mass at 1:00 pm and Interment at St. Louis # 3.
