

Born on December 12, 1935, Ramchand Gohumal Sadhwani began his journey in Sindh. As an immigrant, he faced many challenges, but through hard work and determination, he built a life filled with love and purpose.
He was a devoted widower who poured his heart and soul into raising his five children. His sacrifices and work ethic laid the foundation for their success and instilled in them values of resilience and compassion. He established several successful businesses in the city of New Orleans during his near 50 years in this community.
Despite his demanding career, Ram always made time for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showering them with affection and wisdom. His presence in their lives brought joy and inspiration, leaving an indelible mark on each generation.
Ram will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created.
Ram was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sajni Sadhwani; his daughter, Nanda Bulchandani; his two brothers, Murlidhar G. Sadhwani and Vashi Sadhwani; and his parents, Gohumal and Lilawanti Sadhwani.
He is survived by his four children, Raju, Veena, Hoori, and Harish; his daughters-in-law, Rita and Nikita; and his three sons-in-law, Shankar, Ishwar, and Pritam. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
A funeral service to celebrate Ram Sadhwani’s life will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The visitation will begin at 11:00AM with the service to follow in the chapel at 12:00PM.
The service will be livestreamed for all guests unable to attend in person.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (www.michaeljfox.org) in honor of Ramchand Sadhwani.
