

Richard Ryan Foll, age 93, of Destin, FL, passed away Thursday, April 3rd, 2025. Born January 1, 1932, in Omaha Nebraska to Richard Albert Foll and Agatha Ryan Foll. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean war aboard the aircraft carrier Sicily and attended their reunions for years. After graduating from the University of Nebraska Omaha (Go Huskers), he went to work for Martin Marietta, now Lockheed Martin. He began his career with the Titan Rocket Program in Denver, CO in 1958. He continued his tenure with the Space Shuttle External Tank Program in New Orleans, LA, retiring as V.P. of Technical Operations in 1997 with 39 years of service. He was a passionate Saints Fan (Who Dat) and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s various sport and arts events. In 2000, Rich and Julie moved to Kelly Plantation in Destin, FL, where he was an active member of the golf and fishing clubs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jackie Bousha, her husband Frank and his nephew Dr. David Bousha. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Julie Gagliano Foll, daughters Denise Foll of Slidell, LA, Michelle Foll Cook (Wayne), of Athens, AL, sons Sean Foll (Christine) of Morrisville, PA, Jared Acosta (Tanya), of Spanish Fort, AL, grandchildren Caitlin Roberts, Corey Cook, Carson Cook (Shalesha), Ryan Foll (Lexi), Griffin Foll, Billy Janisheck (Bree), Frank Janisheck, Ean Kaiser, Isabella Acosta, great-grandchildren Delilah Polk, Casimere Polk and Billy Janisheck.
Services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2025 with visitation beginning at Noon, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2pm.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the caregivers of Christlike Senior Care for their heartfelt care and attention given to our loved one. Also, many thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice and The Blake at Miramar Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
