Robert L. Rumney Sr.

Robert L. Rumney, Sr., 77 of Metairie, LA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband to the late Kiyoko Rumney, son of the late James M. and Marie K. Rumney. Loving father to Robert Rumney, Jr. (Danielle Fromenthal) and Richard Rumney (Stacy). Grandfather (Paw Paw) of Taylor and Preston Rumney and Katie Wild (Justin Birch). Great Grandfather of Emma Birch.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where he met the love of his life, Kiyoko. A devout Catholic, Robert was a longtime parishioner of St Mark’s Church in St. Bernard Parish. Robert was a loving and devoted husband and father. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A private funeral and Mass will be held for immediate family.
