Robert Stephen “Big Bobby” Wilson, Sr. died on October 1, 2016 at his home in Metairie. He had terminal renal cell carcinoma. Robert was born on November 6, 1952 in New Orleans to the late Frances “Fee” Onebene. He is survived by his son, William Robert deMonsabert (formerly Robert S. “Lil Bobby” Wilson, Jr.), his uncle Joseph Onebene Jr., and his cousins, Anthony Onebene, Glenn Paul Onebene Sr., Marie “Lulu” Casse, and Veronica Williams. Robert worked for William B. Reily & Co., Inc., (The Reily Companies), International Lubricant Corp., Shell Oil Co. – Metairie Plant, Equilon, L3 Communications, Standard Coffee and was a reserve deputy with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for 13 years after graduating from the Sheriff’s Academy in 1984. He was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church. The burial services will be private at Lake Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 4921 W Metairie Ave, Metairie, LA 70001.
