Rodney Clark Haase

He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Viola Munz Haase; wife, Claire Clement Haase; brothers, John A. Haase (Lucille), Robert “Rip” Haase and Lucien Haase (Mildred); and great grandson, Terryn Farr.

He is survived by his son, Randall C. Haase (Kathleen); daughter, Susan Haase Troxler (Jim); son, David A. Haase (Kathe); daughter, Julie Haase Stanton (John); grandchildren, Bobby Troxler (Stephanie), Kristen Troxler, Benjamin Haase, Joey Haase, Jamie Tolleson (Bryan), Jennifer Stanton, Emma Stanton, Sean Stanton and Terry Leblanc (Heather); 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Rodney was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy during the Pacific Theater. He was a pilot in a PBY/PBM and was awarded the Purple Heart, among other distinguished medals. After the war he returned and worked with his brothers in the family business, Haase Construction Company.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow the funeral service at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
