Ronald was one of my best friends and will be greatly missed.  Thank you for making us smile and laugh.  I’m sorry you will miss Trump being re-elected.  I’ll miss our debates.   Love you Ronald ❤️

My condolences to all of Ronald’s family and loved ones during this very sad time. 
I met Ronald about 20 years ago during a Jefferson Performing Arts Society’s summer theatre production of The Wizard of Oz. 
I have fond memories of that Summer spending time with the cast members-especially the three other main characters. Ronald was cast as the Cowardly Lion and I, the Tin Man.
Ronald was a sweetheart and so much fun to be around!  


Ronald was an amazing manager. I couldn’t have worked for a more amazing person. He was silly but hard working and such a great team leader. Made EVERYONE smile. I will miss you. 

I met Ronald I’d say 7 years ago, he was so intelligent and wise, I liked our debates on different things; he was so genuine and real, my heart will always hold a special spot for him.

As you know, I met Ronald many years ago working together and immediately saw his infectious enthusiasm, spirit for life, and ability to always bring humor and happiness into a room.  For the last several days, I have tried to find the words to express my sadness for Ronald’s passing. Quite simply, there are none. Please know that as a parent I grieve with you and hope that in some way you and Dominique may find piece in all the wonderful memories you have of Ronald. Through those memories he lives with us forever.


I met Ronald a couple of years ago when he became the manager at what then became Felix's restaurant.  I remember the first time I spoke to him; I was going through the roughest time in my entire life and from the first moment I shared this with him I could see how special he was. He is not someone you can forget easily because he is like No One Else & I think anyone who knows him is nodding their heads in agreement right now. It may have been a short friendship compared to most in my life, but the connection we shared and the love felt like we had been friends for far longer.  Ronald would drop everything to be there for anyone,  he never wanted to see anyone sad or upset and he tried to solve every problem he could to make others comfortable. He was so warm, inviting and literally never left anyone out. I am so thankful that he asked me to come over to his house that first game night. This is when we realized that our competitive nature was exactly the same. We would argue over who would win and then bicker when one of us did. He was the best at throwing a party and hosting any event anywhere anytime. His intelligence was out of this world and he always wanted to share his knowledge,  especially history and politics. I will forever miss listening to you ramble on about things I will never remember.  Your voice,  your passion, your love.  I am sad that we did not get to see how strong our friendship would grow, but you are one of my best friends and I will cherish our memories forever! I love you

Ever since I met you, you made me smile. Your hard work and your ability to care of all of us at Felix's was amazing. I loved hanging out with you and hearing all your stories and little facts about everything. You were one of the smartest men I knew. I can't believe we just spoke in April about you wanting me to come work with you at your new bar. I really appreciated our friendship especially all the Morgan Freeman animojiis.  You will be missed dear friend. 

Well, well, well my dear man. Who is going to schlep me around NO now?Who is going to explain every nook and cranny of the streets and neighborhoods of your fabulous city? How will I find the oyster bar  with the BEST oysters in town? Oh, and let’s not forget about going dancing, going to jazz clubs and playing the ultimate trivia game with the three Amigos. My family and I will continue going to The Big Easy because our Ronald showed us the way. When we again walk the streets, Ronald will be with us. Always! We love, love you dearly. You were so dearly loved. You brought so much joy and fun to us. Coordinating  homework skits at St Mary Magdalen  to coming over dressed as an old lady in full costume. I had no idea who you were. We laughed so hard when you revealed yourself.  And so many other happening that we just said “oh that’s just Ronald”, like forgetting your house key. Just know we will never forget you and when we think of you, a smile will come to our face. God Bless You!❤️🙏🏻

The last time I saw Ronald, I remember having the best conversation with him and Jaye at Nanny’s funeral reception. He was always so fond of her and she felt the same way about him. He was so personable, and had such conviction. I admired him. I am so deeply sorry.

Dear Ronald, we lost touch many years ago and never quite circled back to each other except for an occasional Facebook “like” here and there, but the impression your soul burned into mine during the early days of our friendship endures. You were the embodiment of passion, enthusiasm, gusto, joie de vivre. You radiated charisma and were fascinating to watch and to listen to. You were always ready to act out a scene, debate political theory, dive into a history lesson, and plan the next crazy adventure. Thank you for being my friend when I needed one and for teaching me the importance of being able to laugh at myself. I’m glad that I knew you, even for too short a time. The world seems a drearier place if you’re not in it.

Charming, beautiful inside and out, whip smart, kind and caring, Ron was a ray of light. I loved to go out for long dinners with him where we spent hours talking history and politics - he was so passionate about both. He balanced that geeky side with a real love for life. Once he organized several of us to dress as Dick Tracy characters for a Halloween bash - no one was more fun! I can’t believe he’s left us so soon. I send my deepest condolences to Jaye and to his entire family. 

Ronald was a very special young man. I remember back when I was Bartending at Four Seasons in Metairie his great spirits. He always came out to my fundraisers for the Noaids Walk. R.I.P. Ronald gone but never forgotten. 🙏❤️🙏

Liz, Ronnie, Domingue, I cannot begin to imagine your grief. Ronald was a gem. He was a light in the darkness.  The world has lost an incredible person, but heaven gained a larger than life angel.  I know there is nothing I could ever say or do to lessen your grief, but please know Ronald is in my prayers for his salvation. Jesus is holding him in his loving  arms with comfort no earthly person could ever give him. God bless Ronald. I am so sorry for your loss. 

We first met Ronald in 2015 in New Orleans.  My wife and daughter and I had  done all the touristy things and were sitting a table away from Ronald
and friends . They were talking, in rather loud voices , about how tourists to the city were always going to the wrong restaurants and being ripped off left and right. I remember Ronald peering over to our table and he sensed our embarrassment at being just the kind of the tourists they were laughing about. He asked my wife Beverly, if the conversation at his table bothered us. My wife is very outspoken and she told him that it absolutely did.  Ronald turned on his inimitable charm and offered to show us the city the way we should have  experienced it, This started a friendship that led us to come back to New Orleans every year since that chance meeting.  We
will always  love Ronald, his friends, and his family.  Our deepest condolences to all who cherish his memory and like us were personally touched by his big heart and beautiful spirit.

Never before have I ever met anyone with so much love. Your goals in your every day life were to make people happy, no matter the circumstances you showed love in all that you faced. You were there for me in my most troublesome times, you were my shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen. I knew the moment I met you on that Uber ride home that we would somehow become friends. I love you Ronald. You have touched so many lives your memory will live on forever.
